The Very Beginning

Since we are now both retired, me at 55 (now 56) and Buddy at 62, we thought this a perfect time to go into debt to buy a big truck to pull a little 14 foot travel trailer across the country to visit all the National Parks. Perfect logic right? So we packed up the truck, packed up the trailer with about three months worth of just about every food imaginable, readied up clothes, drugs we may need and even brought the dog along - can't leave your buddy behind at a time like this!
So this is the beginning, the shortest blog to get started on how to blog. I had no idea I had to upload pictures to the net to do this...thought I could suck them off the laptop. Oh well. Internet connectivity will be limited so this will be...hmm...interesting. I have come to like the internet quite a lot although I don't Facebook much. What do you do on the net? I read, surf for information (yes I am that bookish), listen to Audible books as well as librivox free books and connect with friends by email. Buddy surfs ebay along with other guy interests like classic cars and trucks. And nothing rocks as much as Amazon shopping although on the road that is of no help...hmm.
Check back now and then. Hope to update weekly, if we eventually have good internet service, maybe more often.
